This fight is all about Khan. He is not only expected to win; he is expected to do it in style.

He did exactly that against Devon Alexander last time out, out-pointing the American by a distance.

Khan has not forced many stoppages of late—he went the full 12 rounds in his last three outings, against Alexander, Luis Collazo and Julio Diaz—but now would be a good time to show off his finishing skills.

Algieri, meanwhile, is a steady performer who was horribly exposed by Pacquiao.

He has advantages in both height (5′10″ versus 5′8 ½″) and reach (72″ versus 71") but may be best served trying to get his rival out of a rhythm by getting up close.

Whatever he does, it is hard to see anything but a victory for Khan. Everything suggests it will be on the scorecards, though do not rule out a TKO in the closing rounds.

May 29 at Barclays Center in a boxing match will held Amir Khan will put his WBC Silver welterweight title on the line against Chris Algieri. Amir Khan vs Chris Algieri fight preview:

Amir Khan is an Olympic silver medalist from the 2004 summer games in Athens. He has extremely fast hands and average punching power. He is very athletic and has the heart of a true warrior. However, it is well known amongst boxing fans that he does not possess the sturdiest chin. Since switching trainers a few years back after his knock out loss to Danny Garcia, he has been able to adapt to a more defensively conscious style. Since teaming up with Virgil Hunter, Amir Khan has been a little more defensively responsible and has gotten his aggression under control and isn’t as reckless as he was.

Khan has some good wins over the likes of Andriy Kotelnik, Paul Malignaggi, Marcos Maidana, Zab Judah and Luis Collazo. Khan stands at about 5’9 in height and possesses a 71 inch reach.

Chris Algieri, on the other hand, has had no Amateur experience and instead had a career as a professional kickboxer before turning over to pro boxing. Chris turned to professional boxing in 2008 and has since built up a 20-1 record with the lone loss coming from Manny Pacquiao. Stylistically, Algieri is a pure boxer that likes to use his jab often. He has good legs and knows how to use the ring well. However, he does not possess much punching power. He holds quality wins over Emanuel Taylor and Ruslan Provodnikov. Algieri stands at 5’10 in height and has a 72 inch reach and will look to work off of his jab as he does in every fight.

Amir Khan vs Chris Algieri: Who will win?

Who will win?Amir Khan vs Chris Algieri in their next upcoming fight on Friday, May 29, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York as the Main Event in an exciting Premier Boxing Champions (PBC).

Former junior welterweight titlist British boxer Amir Khan allrady has been in the heading as of late as he is being pronounced as Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s possible next adversary in September. But before all that happens, Khan needs to take care of business on May 29, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn when he goes up against Chris Algieri.

Algieri will be fighting in front of his hometown, somehow giving him an advantage over Khan. Algieri seems to have also matured since losing to Pacquiao, churning out impressive performances which have brought him back up to his feet.

And such becomes a cause for concern for Khan, who incidentally carries some similarities to Pacquiao, particularly in the area of hand speed.

This fight will mark the return of the Olympian on ‘The Channel of Champions’ after having fought twice before on BoxNation against Julio Diaz in 2013 and Luis Collazo last May.
